Paris – “The City of Light” (“La Ville Lumière”) or “Paname” , as some Parisians still call it – is one of the most popular destinations in the world. There is so much to see and do in the different arrondissements that visitors can get a bit overwhelmed with how to make the most of their stay, especially if they don’t have so much time.

Our main piece of advice would be the following: don’t spend your time and money on tourist attractions like the Eiffel Tower and in touristy places like the Champs-Elysées. Instead, get a map of Paris and lose yourself in its little streets! Walk around wherever you want, and try to avoid the main roads. You will always find something interesting, whether it be a building with interesting architecture, a small park or square with nice fountains and statues, a café, a boulangerie-patisserie or a nice restaurant, and you will be around locals instead of with other tourists!
